Once upon a time, a little girl grew up into a woman who loved fragrances. In 2023, Mae decided to combine those loves into a boutique perfumery: Frau Holle Hollow LLC (pronounced “Hole – lah”)

Why “Frau Holle”: While researching for product names and inspiration, Mae came across the Germanic Goddess and Fairytale character “Frau Holle”.

A multifaceted character, this woman goes by many names including: “Frau Hulda”, “Perchta”, “Berta”, “Mother Frost”, “The White Woman”, and “The Dark Grandmother)”. No matter her name, she is a figure shrouded in magic and mystery — how could we resist?

Closely associated with winter, Frau Holle is usually depicted as a benevolent figure who made it snow by shaking out her bedding until the feathers flew down to the earth as snow. In the Fairytale “Mother Frost”, Frau Holle is an old woman who rewards the good for their hard work, and the bad for their laziness.

As a goddess, Holle was tied to winter, spinning, weaving, and children. Though later, Christian teachings depicted her as an evil spirit called “Spinneholle”, most myths and legends depicted her as a protector of children, who received the souls of children who died young. Some even theorize that Holle (aka “Perchta”) was the inspiration of beloved children’s storyteller, Mother Goose.

About Our Products: All products made by our perfumery are made by hand in Spanish Fork, Utah. All perfumes and colognes are original blends that cannot be found anywhere else! All ingredients are carefully sourced and researched to ensure quality and safety.

All products are paraben-free, sulfate-free, and phthalate free.

While some products are all-natural and/or alcohol-free, many products contain Cosmetically approved preservatives to increase shelf-life and stability. Base ingredients will be listed on the product pages and in packaging. More detailed lists of allergens will be presented upon request.
